Organization Description
The Board of Directors, the policy making body and fiduciary agent of the Center, is responsible for decisions on matters of admission and tuition, budget and finance, fundraising, publicity, long range planning, personnel (hiring of the Director) and scholarship assistance for families. The Board consists of volunteer local community leaders and members, educators and professionals as well as parents of the Center. The Board meets eleven times a year, including an Annual Meeting which is open to all interested parents and friends. The Annual Meeting is held every February.

Funding Sources
The Center relies on several sources of funding: tuition, governmental fees and grants, United Way, and community contributions. The Center is a not-for-profit agency and tuition and fees do not cover the costs of operation. A continuous effort is necessary to close the gap between income and expenses. A Letter of Appeal by mail is an annual activity of the Board of Directors. In addition, there are regular on-going efforts to obtain funds through grants and governmental agencies. Other events are organized and conducted by parents and staff has been successful in providing additional funds for an enriched Programming. How to help us.

Mount Kisco Day Care Center is a licensed, not-for-profit, non-sectarian childcare facility providing quality, affordable childcare for children 3 months to 5 years, with an after-school program serving children up to 12 years of age. Founded in 1971 and licensed by the NYS Dept. of Social Services, the Center is one of the first day care programs in the nation to be accredited by the National School-Age Care Alliance (NSACA) for its quality childcare. MKDCC is open year-round, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
